How might we teach SEAL through discrete learning opportunities?

Where schools have implemented SEAL most effectively they have provided an opportunity for pupils to learn social and emotional skills through focused learning opportunities. These have often been placed within PSHE or tutor periods but other subject areas also lend themselves well to this sort of work, for example drama and English. SEAL provides a set of learning opportunities for use in Year 7. These are based upon some key learning and teaching approaches that might be applied generally.
